In 2015, I created a fashion line called FemmeGod. Its pieces featured elements such as animal skulls, feathers, vintage furs, and other oddities.

The collection below was shown at the 2015 Hartford Fashion Week.

trashion fashion

Founded by Amy Merli, Trashion Fashion is a choreographed runway show that features wearable art made from materials that have been diverted from the waste stream. The first piece featured below was created with trash bags and broken mirrors, and the production of it was a collaborative effort. The second piece consists of construction fencing, braided cable wires, pill bottles and a wicker basket.

HFW Couture Tour

In 2016, Hartford Fashion Week asked designers from the Connecticut region to create pieces inspired by different rooms in the Mark Twain House & Museum. I was assigned The School Room, where Mark Twain’s daughters learned and played. Along the bottom of the dress are hand drawn portraits of the Twain family, along with drawings of their house and the activities that they enjoyed together. LED lights are sewn into the lining of the dress to illuminate the illustrations, and to add to its whimsical nature.
